If you have ever found a four leaf clover you are lucky indeed! More often than not the three leaf variety is what is available. Why not make the most of it by having some edible versions around. That's what I do! DISHING-UP these shamrock sugar cookies is my way of spreading a little O' THE LUCK around. You can too by ordering them (by 1/2 or full dozen) or getting the recipe and template by commenting on this blog or emailing to jeannemarble@yahoo.com.

DISH-UP This adorable sugar-molded lamb for your upcoming Spring Holiday table. Sugar molded shapes of eggs, rabbits and lambs are traditional confectionary treats that in recent years have been surpassed by more commercial fare. I will never forget the first sugar egg that I received as a child. Molded of pastel sugar and decorated with icing ruffles and flowers it housed a miniature Spring scene of bunnies in green grass and flowers that could be viewed through an oval opening in the egg. It was delightful ! I have been captivated by the food art ever since!

This molded lamb is my updated version. Created with an antique mold I found,it is decorated with candied violets and icing while laying in a "meadow" of tinted green sugar. For added fun I fill it with chocolate eggs , jelly beans and other surprises. Cracking it open to retrieve the contents is as much fun as an egg hunt. It also serves as a stunning holiday centerpiece.

This Lamb can be custom ordered or the instructions to make a mold of your own can be had by commenting through this blog or emailing to jeannemarble@yahoo.com

"Small World " Terrariums

I had the opportunity to meet Tovah Martin author of "The New Terrarium" and to participate in her seminar on creating the terrariums of today. You might remember the soggy, not well designed ,multi colored layers of sand versions that were around in the 70's. Happily , the terrariums of today are beautiful displays for plants and nature that invite an eco-friendly feeling into any surrounding. As someone who has a love of all things natural and beautiful, I came away inspired and committed to creating my own versions of "new" terrariums. I call mine "Small World" Terrariums. They are available for ordering. Just email me here or at jeannemarble@yahoo.com for details. I search for stunning glass containers, quality plants and unique artful objects to create one of a kind "Small Worlds" that suit the customer. This DIG-IT segment has opened a whole new "small" world for me. I hope you will feel the same way!

Pink Pumps

For some very cool design inspiration and floral work check out Fusion Flowers magazine. The 2011 January issue is particularly inspiring as it is dedicated to breast cancer awareness. It's totally not a downer. They call it their Pink edition and there are some very cool contributors...including me. I designed the Pink Pumps for one of the Step by Step segments.
DO-IT instructions are available by sending a request comment to this blog or by emailing me at jeannemarble@ yahoo.com.
